Throughout October, we've rolled out several improvements to iKnow Safeguarding, making it easier to manage Concerns, maintain accurate records and control access to sensitive information.
These updates are now available to all iKnow Safeguarding clients.
Add up to five people to a Concern
Notes allow you to build a chronological record as new information about a Concern becomes available.
You can now edit individual Notes when corrections or updates are needed. All previous versions are automatically retained, providing a full audit history of any changes made.
This gives you greater flexibility while ensuring that the original information and subsequent changes remain available for accountability and auditing purposes.

Edit Concern notes
Notes let you build a chronological record as new information about a Concern becomes available. You’ll be able to edit an individual note when needed. All previous versions will be retained for audit purposes.

Activity Log within a Concern
Actions within iKnow Safeguarding are already audited, with Account Safeguarding Leads able to view activity across the system within Settings.
We've now made this information easier to access by introducing a new Activity tab within each Concern.
Account Safeguarding Leads can now view activity relating specifically to the Concern they are working on, without needing to navigate away.
For confidentiality, this tab is only available to Account Safeguarding Leads.
Notes can be made Account Safeguarding Lead only
We've introduced an additional level of confidentiality when recording Notes against a Concern.
When adding a Note, an Account Safeguarding Lead can now choose to make it visible only to themselves and other Account Safeguarding Leads.
This is particularly useful for organisations with multiple safeguarding users or different levels of safeguarding responsibility, allowing sensitive information to be restricted to those with the appropriate level of access.

These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to developing iKnow Safeguarding, helping organisations manage safeguarding information securely, effectively and with greater flexibility.
